Java Kai in Kīlauea is seeking a dedicated and energetic Dishwasher/Busser to join our team in a fast-paced cafe environment. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, ensuring that our guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
We offer a fun work environment with weekly tips, a free shift meal, and free coffee 7 days a week regardless of whether you have worked that day.
Dishwasher shifts run from 7am-3pm. Candidates must be available to work both Monday and Tuesday. Additional shifts are available on Saturday and Sunday as a Line Cook for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleWash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to maintain cleanliness standards
- check_circleFollow all food safety guidelines to ensure safety and quality of food served
- check_circleSort and stack clean dishes in an organized fashion and return them to proper locations
- check_circleMaintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash
- check_circleClear dishes and silverware from tables and wipe surfaces clean
- check_circleOperate dishwasher and monitor appropriate chemical levels

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Familiarity with food safety practices. Experience in bussing, cleaning, or culinary roles.
