About the Team
Fidelity Digital Assets, a Fidelity Investments Company, is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading, and servicing digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Adopting an entrepreneurial culture and startup approach within one of Fidelity's most innovative business units, our global, diverse team of forward-thinking professionals leads with agility and creativity to bridge the gap between traditional institutional investors and their exposure to digital assets.
Within Fidelity Digital Assets, the Technical Operations team plays a pivotal role in our initiative to move to the cloud. We utilize AWS services to secure our network and scale our applications, ensuring high uptime. Our team consists of hands-on engineers specializing in system reliability who promote a DevOps approach, with a strong focus on infrastructure-as-code, security, and automation.
About the Role
As a Director within the TechOps SRE team, you will work closely with engineering partners to drive initiatives from design to implementation. Our highly available, multi-region Kubernetes (AWS EKS) environments are best-in-class and central to our enterprise-grade infrastructure strategy, currently supporting numerous critical workloads.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills, collaborate across numerous Fidelity teams, and grow in a fun, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment. You will have a direct impact on the emerging strategies of our infrastructure and deployments while helping enable the expansion of our business. Beyond technical leadership and influence, this position includes supervisory responsibilities for a small group of professionals specializing in site reliability, where you will foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements
- verified8+ years of hands-on AWS production experience
- verifiedProduction experience running Kubernetes workloads and clusters (EKS preferred)
- verifiedHands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins
- verifiedProficiency with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
- verifiedProgramming proficiency (Python preferred)
- verifiedProficient with Git-based workflows
- verifiedExperience building and maintaining observability using tools such as Datadog and Splunk
- verifiedExperience working within Agile delivery models (Kanban/Scrum)
- verifiedTerraform experience (preferred)
