The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a visionary leader to join the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). This role is critical to driving the future of space domain intelligence through the strategic integration of data, artificial intelligence, and cloud innovation. As the Director of the Data and Future Technology Division, you will serve as the NSIC Commander's representative, tasked with rapidly identifying and adopting game-changing commercial technologies to ensure freedom of access and maneuver in the space domain.
You will lead a highly specialized 7-member team, including Technical Experts and Principal Cloud Architects, empowering them to tackle complex, mission-critical challenges in data analytics, cybersecurity, networking, and hybrid cloud computing. Your daily responsibilities involve bridging the gap between deep technical execution and executive-level military strategy. You will integrate and publish NSIC's data schema to achieve VAULTIS intelligence goals and manage the USSF Space Threat Modeling and Simulation Committee on behalf of the Commander.
This position requires translating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, ranging from joint force warfighters and acquisition professionals to senior national leaders. You will oversee major technical initiatives and build strong relationships across matrixed project teams, ensuring that data architecture seamlessly integrates with broader operational workflows.
This position is open to U.S. Citizens who can obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance. A practical assessment will be administered to validate technical qualifications. The application window is strict: the position will close after 5 business days or upon receipt of 75 applications, whichever comes first.
