About the Role
As the Director of Communications, you will lead Empatica's external communications strategy, shaping how our company, technology, and impact are understood across healthcare audiences, including large pharma companies, hospital systems, clinicians, and patients. You will drive our brand visibility and position Empatica as a thought leader in digital health and wearable technology.
This role works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth, product innovation, and thought leadership in digital health. You will serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leadership, preparing executives for interviews, panels, and public appearances while partnering with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to support product launches and company milestones.

- check_circleBuild and manage strong relationships with national, healthcare, technology, and trade media
- check_circleDrive proactive media outreach, press strategy, announcements, and executive visibility opportunities
- check_circleIdentify and secure speaking engagements, awards, and thought leadership opportunities for company leaders

Requirements
- verifiedBackground in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
- verified5+ years of progressive experience in external communications or public relations, including leadership responsibility
- verifiedFluency in spoken and written English
- verifiedExperience in digital health, healthcare technology, or medical devices (preferred)
