Key Responsibilities

- check_circleDocument serious incidents, daily progress, and activities accurately and timely
- check_circleAssist with orientation of new children and staff members
- check_circleProvide input into the development of treatment plans as appropriate
- check_circleUse positive child management techniques including de-escalation and containment
- check_circleMaintain an orderly and clean living area including overseeing household chores
- check_circleMaintain a secure campus environment by making rounds and using radio protocols
- check_circleProvide sustained direct supervision of assigned children throughout the shift
- check_circleFollow medical staff instructions and report health information to the Unit Manager
- check_circleEnforce behavioral expectations and program regulations with assigned children
- check_circleComplete all required documentation prior to the end of the shift
- check_circleMaintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations
Requirements
- verifiedFluency in English and Spanish
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedFirst aid certification
- verifiedCPR certification
- verifiedEmergency behavior intervention certification
- verified1-year employment experience in child welfare field
- verifiedProof of work eligibility status

Nice to Have
2-year associate degree from an accredited program/institution, or two or more years of college-level course work in a related human services field; 2 plus years' related experience and/or training in a related human services field
