We are seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to support a Department of War (DoW) customer in analyzing electronic media for a federal government agency. This role is central to sensitive, ongoing criminal investigations and operations. You will examine hard drives, storage devices, cell phones, PDAs, and other electronic devices to uncover evidence admissible in a court of law.
Your day-to-day work involves performing comprehensive forensic analysis, digital evidence preservation, data recovery, and electronic mail extraction. You will employ advanced tools to crack files, detect steganography, and recover deleted or corrupted data. A critical component of this position is maintaining strict evidence custody and control procedures while documenting findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation. You will prepare detailed technical reports and may be required to testify as an expert witness in federal or military court.
Location & Travel Daily work is based in Lorton, VA, with monthly travel required to the Baltimore Area.
