The Digital Forensics Analyst serves as a critical component of our enterprise network environment, conducting digital media acquisition, analysis, and incident response. This role goes beyond standard analysis; it involves deep-dive investigations to restore deleted files, determine usage patterns, analyze Internet history, and perform data carving to recover evidence and artifacts.
You will support a variety of case types, including advanced malware, digital media misuse, insider threats, and potential criminal conduct. Success in this position requires ongoing proficiency in digital and mobile forensic tools, practices, and procedures, as well as the ability to anticipate and respond to emerging threats to networks and systems. You will also be responsible for producing and managing automation improvements using Python scripting.
In addition to technical analysis, this role involves team leadership and mentoring. You will apply Incident Response and Handling best practices in accordance with NIST SP documentation (such as 800-61) and collaborate with internal and external customers to provide support. Your work will directly influence senior leadership through professional recommendations and technical report writing, ensuring that complex forensic findings are communicated effectively.
