As the world's leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, we deliver trusted, highly differentiated solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies. We operate at the critical nexus between traditional and nontraditional threats across all domains: land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. Our employees serve as valued partners to essential government agencies and support every branch of the U.S. armed forces, solving the most daunting challenges our customers face every day.
This position is contingent upon award. Peraton seeks innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about protecting our nation's critical infrastructure. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on one of the nation's vital organizations, working alongside leaders in cybersecurity engineering, operations, forensics, threat analysis, data science, and systems integration.
As the Manager of a 24x7x365 Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), you will serve as the anchor for a team of 20 to 25 cybersecurity technical analysts and Splunk Subject Matter Experts. Your mission is to support a large critical infrastructure operator in defending its corporate and operations networks from nation-state attacks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its systems, and maintaining compliance with federal and industry cybersecurity regulations.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for daily CSOC operations. You will oversee shift handovers, on-call rotations, and resource allocation while managing performance KPIs to drive service improvement. Your day-to-day involves guiding the team in monitoring for security anomalies, analyzing alerts using SIEM/EDR/SOAR tools, and leading investigations into incidents resulting from nation-state attacks or involving federal authorities. You will also manage the CSOC's standard operating procedures, approve security posture reports for senior management, and coordinate efforts with IT, Legal, and HR departments to ensure comprehensive incident response and compliance.
The application period for this role is estimated to be 30 days from the posting date, though this timeline may vary based on business needs and candidate availability. By applying, you express interest in the role and the company. During the review process, selected candidates may be required to participate in an on-camera interview and a process to verify their identity.
