Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment during safety lane and PM inspections
- check_circleComplete lubrication and repair of lubrication points on vehicles as scheduled
- check_circlePerform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy duty equipment including trucks and chassis
- check_circleDocument parts usage and repair order time in a timely and concise manner
- check_circleMaintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
- check_circleConduct repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals and communicate issues to technicians
- check_circleAssist drivers with daily post-trip and vehicle safety inspection processes
Requirements
- verifiedBasic computer skills
- verifiedKnowledge of tools for heavy and light duty truck repair
- verifiedKnowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments
- verifiedKnowledge of lubrication charts for waste trucks
- verifiedAbility to identify visible vehicle repairs
- verifiedAbility to assist with pre/post trip processes
- verifiedAbility to assist with fluid top-ups
- verifiedAbility to support technicians in basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body repairs
