This position is a vital part of the marine construction team, focusing on the inspection, servicing, and repair of diesel trucks, barges, and heavy equipment. The role centers on diesel engines and hydraulics, requiring the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs and installations, and adhere to a regular maintenance schedule to ensure all machinery operates efficiently. The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork, with the technical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems effectively.
The role involves working in diverse weather conditions and water-based environments. Daily tasks may require walking, talking, hearing, and lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 100 pounds occasionally. Employees must be prepared to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and work in moderately loud noise levels. Steel-toe boots are required, and travel to various jobsites is a necessary part of the position.
