The Detention Supervisor in Miami, FL, serves as a vital leader within our detention center operations. In this role, you will provide supervision, guidance, and on-the-job training to Detention Officers, reinforcing the critical nature of their responsibilities. You will ensure the consistent delivery of service across all shifts and locations, taking immediate action to correct problems and responding to emergencies as they arise.
Your day will involve managing staffing levels, conducting administrative investigations, and documenting incidents with complete accuracy. You will inspect every area of the facility where detainees are present, ensure proper timekeeping, and manage break schedules. As a leader, you will inspire and motivate employees to perform duties that ensure contract compliance, provide timely feedback on performance, and participate in interviewing candidates for detention officer positions. You will also enforce American Correctional Association (ACA) and ICE National Detention Standards, conducting daily quality assurance inspections to maintain the effective and efficient control, operation, and security of the facility.
