Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct security and sanitation checks of the area prior to relieving the outgoing officer and throughout the shift
- check_circleEnsure communication radio is in good working order with a fully charged battery
- check_circleExercise surveillance and control over male detainees to maintain order and discipline
- check_circleProvide care, custody, and control of detainees including housing, feeding, and physical well-being
- check_circleEnforce rules and regulations of the detention facility
- check_circleRemove detainees from holding areas using proper restraints and security measures
- check_circleSupervise detainees at deportation hearings, during transport, and while receiving medical care
- check_circleRespond quickly during emergency situations including jogging and fast walking to incidents
- check_circleRender assistance and perform CPR when needed
- check_circleMake official entries in assigned post logbooks that are accurate, legible, and complete
- check_circleInventory all equipment and notate the results in the logbook
- check_circleMaintain physical fitness standards required for law enforcement related positions
