As a Design Professional II, you will serve as a fully competent, non-licensed architect with a minimum of six years of experience. This role is designed for a professional who can independently apply advanced architectural concepts to complex or novel assignments, often requiring the development of new techniques and procedures.
You will be responsible for specific technical design aspects of major projects, conducting investigations and recommending solutions that best meet client needs. Your work involves providing professional architectural consultation on large, complex developments while balancing scale, aesthetics, and context to maximize impact on both individuals and communities. You will contribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design vision.
In this position, you will independently produce finished plans, specifications, and material approvals for moderate to large-scale projects. You will coordinate the planning and development of construction documents, ensuring high-quality, coordinated outputs through technical expertise. Your responsibilities extend to construction administration, including site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviews.
You will also play a key role in team growth by providing technical guidance to less experienced project associates and interns. Proactively coordinating meetings with clients, project teams, consultants, and contractors, you will help build trust and confidence. Additionally, you will monitor billing efficiency rates and work to maximize the team's overall quality and efficiency.
This position operates within a professional open-office environment featuring low to moderate noise levels and collaborative work areas for team meetings. Offices are equipped with shared resources, including video conferencing, printing/scanning, and a café. The role also involves occasional travel to building construction sites, which may present varying temperatures, wind, dust, and noise levels, including hazardous or dirty conditions.
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited university (Master of Architecture preferred) and a minimum of six years of architecture-related experience. Sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates.
To apply, please submit your resume and portfolio highlighting your experience with complex design solutions and construction documentation. We value a collaborative and professional work ethic, as well as a passion for providing exceptional client service.
