This position serves as a vital support pillar within the Courts division, performing intermediate skilled administrative work essential to the daily operations of the Clerk of Court's office. Under the moderate supervision of the Clerk or Chief Clerk, the role bridges the gap between legal professionals, court officials, and the general public. The position exists to ensure the accurate processing, indexing, and maintenance of legal documents, records, and files while providing high-quality service to citizens navigating the court system.
The day-to-day environment is dynamic and public-facing. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, answering inquiries, resolving complaints, and guiding individuals through complex court procedures. Your work involves a blend of precise data entry, document processing, and direct customer assistance. From swearing in notaries and processing marriage licenses to managing jury pools and handling sensitive legal records, this role requires a steady hand and a commitment to excellence in service. You will also support attorneys, realtors, and court staff by preparing calendars, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of mail and supplies.
