About the Role
The Treatment Coordinator serves as the primary face of the practice, representing the team in all facets of patient services. This role is vital for ensuring a seamless patient experience, from the moment a visitor enters the lobby to the completion of their financial arrangements. You will act as the central hub for patient flow, bridging the gap between clinical care and administrative efficiency.
In this position, you will manage the daily rhythm of the practice, ensuring that the front desk and reception areas remain welcoming and organized. Your day involves greeting patients and visitors with a cheerful demeanor, managing the lobby environment, and handling a high volume of telephone communications. You will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, registering new patients, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient files.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to scheduling and time management. You will optimize the daily, weekly, and monthly calendars to maximize patient care and meet the practice's production and collection goals. Using the NexHealth communication system, you will re-activate overdue patients, fill last-minute openings, and ensure the hygiene schedule remains efficiently booked. You will also coordinate treatment planning schedules, presenting treatment plan estimates and arranging appointments that align with the doctor's availability and the patient's needs.
Financial coordination is another key pillar of this role. You will accurately record patient payments, manage financial documentation, and communicate effectively regarding past due balances. By coordinating patient financial arrangements according to policy and monitoring treatment financing, you help ensure the practice's financial health while maintaining trust with patients.
