About the Role
The Delivery Services Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the logistics operations of a leading building products distributor. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSchedule and route product deliveries
- check_circleAssess job site requirements and assign appropriate delivery vehicles
- check_circleKeep customers informed of delivery status
- check_circleEnsure OSHA and federal road procedures are followed
- check_circleCoordinate fleet maintenance and ensure repairs are completed properly
- check_circleResolve vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to service facilities
- check_circleEnsure trucks are not overloaded and stay within weight limits
- check_circleParticipate in hiring and performance management of drivers and handlers
- check_circleSchedule new equipment training and ensure driver certification
- check_circleVerify drivers' CDL licenses are current and notify them of updates
Requirements
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
- verifiedAbility to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously
- verifiedPrevious dispatch experience preferred
- verifiedMechanical knowledge a plus
