Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our lumber yard team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building materials to our customers while upholding the highest standards of customer service. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in the day-to-day success of our operations.
About the Role
As a key member of the Delivery and Yard Operations department, you will ensure that building materials reach customers efficiently and accurately. Your day will involve organizing and securing loads, assisting with forklift operations, and verifying order accuracy before departure. You will deliver and unload materials at customer sites, handling returns and relaying feedback to the appropriate personnel.
Beyond the road, you will contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment by maintaining high housekeeping standards in the yard and warehouse. You will also be responsible for keeping your assigned delivery truck clean and operational. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions, often lifting and moving heavy materials.
Work Environment
This position involves a mix of outdoor and indoor work in varied weather conditions. The driver will regularly lift and move heavy materials and operate company vehicles and forklifts. The role demands the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring safety and compliance with all company policies and DOT standards.

Requirements
