Who Can Drive?

Delivering with Uber welcomes couriers from all backgrounds and industries, ranging from traditional driving and transportation sectors to other fields. No professional delivering experience is required. However, you must meet specific requirements based on your vehicle and location:

• Meet the minimum age to deliver in your city.
• Have a valid driver's license in your name (or a government-issued ID if biking).
• Provide a Social Security number (only in the US).
• Consent to a background check.
• Own an iPhone or Android smartphone.
• If driving a car, it must be a 2-door or 4-door vehicle.
• If using a scooter, it must be a motorized scooter under 50cc.

If you have previous employment experience in transportation, such as driving jobs, truck driving, taxi services, or bus operations, you might consider delivering with Uber to earn extra money. We also welcome couriers who have worked with other peer-to-peer ridesharing or delivering networks.
