About the Role
As a Deli Associate, you will be the face of our department, ensuring service areas are well-stocked, appealing, and ready to meet customer demands. Your day will involve greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a polite and professional manner. You will operate slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses, package items, and create ready-to-eat foods and platters according to individual orders.
Beyond food preparation, you will play a vital role in maintaining department freshness by rotating products, managing expiration dates, and adhering to company recipes for hot and cold food items. You will also ensure the department runs smoothly by maintaining strict sanitation standards, following cleaning schedules, and utilizing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may also involve operating cash registers, assisting with inventory control, and helping with receiving deliveries.
