About the Role

The Business, Education, Arts, Math & Sciences (BEAMS) Division seeks a dynamic leader to oversee academic affairs, curriculum governance, and faculty development. This role is pivotal in advancing the college's mission by ensuring SACSCOC accreditation compliance and driving strategic growth through innovative program development for both traditional and non-traditional learners.

In this capacity, you will serve as the primary liaison between the college, the division, and the broader community. You will guide the divisional budget, manage facilities, and cultivate partnerships with local businesses and industry to ensure course offerings meet evolving market needs. The position requires a balance of administrative oversight and active participation in the academic culture, including teaching classes as needed and serving on key college committees.

Day in the Life

Your work will involve leading divisional meetings to align faculty with institutional goals, evaluating teaching effectiveness, and fostering a learning-centered environment. You will coordinate the recruitment and orientation of new faculty, support professional development initiatives, and ensure equitable treatment for all students. Beyond the classroom, you will represent Fletcher Technical Community College at community events, graduation ceremonies, and recruitment activities, promoting a positive image of the institution.
