We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team and help maintain the integrity and performance of our clients' critical data environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAdminister, monitor, and maintain enterprise databases and related managed applications
- check_circlePlan for future database expansion, enhancements, upgrades, and selection decisions
- check_circleEnsure database performance, availability, and security through tuning and optimization
- check_circleSupport database design and development in on-premises and cloud environments like AWS and Azure
- check_circleDevelop and manage backup and recovery strategies and execute data restoration drills
- check_circleDiagnose and resolve complex database issues and recommend system improvements
- check_circleMaintain accurate documentation of configurations, standards, procedures, and policies
- check_circleCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to support cross-training efforts
- check_circleCreate design documents, implementation plans, test cases, and rollback plans for initiatives
- check_circleProvide weekly status reporting and manage ServiceNow ticket updates and follow-ups
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering Mathematics, or related field with 5-7 years experience (or Masters with 3-5 years, or PhD with 0-2 years)
- verifiedExperience administering enterprise databases in production environments
- verifiedExperience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- verifiedExperience with backup/recovery activities and database security practices
- verifiedU.S. Citizen
- verifiedActive or must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance
Nice to Have
Experience supporting databases in both on-premises and cloud environments. Experience with AWS and/or Azure hosted database services. Experience with scripting/automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or JSON-based automation. Experience supporting federal IT environments and change-control processes.
