About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our team and play a key part in ensuring our data centers operate efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for the critical infrastructure setup, including installing data cabinets, supporting pathways such as basket trays, and running pre-connectorized fiber. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with existing systems, maintaining a safe and secure working environment while adhering to all safety protocols and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInstall and align data cabinets and racks according to technical specifications
- check_circleDesign and install pathway support systems such as basket trays and cable management solutions
- check_circleRun, terminate, and secure pre-connectorized fiber cables to ensure data transmission reliability
- check_circleCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration with existing systems
- check_circleMaintain detailed records of installations, configurations, and modifications within the data center
- check_circleComply with all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment
- check_circleConduct testing and inspections to verify installations meet industry standards and company guidelines
Requirements
- verifiedDemonstrated experience in data center installation
- verifiedExpertise in installing data cabinets, rack systems, and basket trays
- verifiedHands-on experience with pre-connectorized fiber cable installation
- verifiedFamiliarity with TIA/EIA-942 and BICSI guidelines
- verifiedAbility to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and layouts
- verifiedBICSI Technician, RCDD, or Fiber Optic Technician certification preferred
Nice to Have
Relevant certifications such as BICSI Technician, RCDD, or Fiber Optic Technician. Experience working within operational data centers. Knowledge of structured cabling systems and industry best practices.
