The Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a SCRIPT Data Analyst to support the implementation and oversight of the SCRIPT Act. This role is critical for ensuring the integrity of drug pricing transparency data, serving both the public and internal stakeholders.
In this position, you will act as the bridge between raw data submissions and actionable policy insights. Your day-to-day involves ingesting, cleaning, and validating manufacturer price increase notices and new drug submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness. You will be responsible for maintaining the metric dictionary and annual report definitions, ensuring that the data driving public transparency portals and internal oversight tools is reliable and compliant.
The role requires a high degree of collaboration with IT, Legal, and program teams to optimize data pipelines and workflows. You will develop and refresh Power BI dashboards that serve dual purposes: providing public transparency and offering internal monitoring capabilities. A key aspect of the position is analyzing trends in drug pricing, cost drivers, and submission patterns to identify non-compliance risks and support program and policy decision-making.
Given the sensitive nature of the data, strict adherence to confidentiality and data governance is paramount. You will ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and trade secret statutes. This involves coordinating closely with Legal and Privacy teams to protect trade secrets while maintaining the transparency required by the Act. The role demands a strong commitment to data integrity and security standards throughout the entire data lifecycle.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their experience with Power BI development, data ingestion, and regulatory compliance. The selection process focuses on verifying technical proficiency in creating automated reports and visualizations, as well as the ability to navigate complex legal and privacy frameworks.
The Department of Health & Human Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce.
