About the Role
GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support Headquarters Air Force A2 in the design and implementation of a Zero Trust architecture. Located onsite at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA, this position is central to advancing cybersecurity modernization efforts across the Department of War and Intelligence Community.
The role drives analytics, automation, and data-driven decision-making to improve threat detection and enable continuous verification across mission-critical systems. You will blend deep analytical expertise with a strong understanding of cybersecurity, identity, and network security principles. Working alongside architects, engineers, and mission stakeholders, you will transform raw data into actionable insights that strengthen the organization's security posture.
About the Team
This position operates within a large-scale cybersecurity modernization effort focused on Zero Trust pillars, including Identity, Devices, Network, Applications, Data, and Workloads. The team collaborates closely to translate complex Zero Trust requirements into measurable data outputs, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity mandates and maturity models.

The selection process prioritizes individuals with military or government experience in operations and intelligence, as well as a deep understanding of military operations, intelligence gathering, and interagency structures.

Requirements
