As a Customer Service Representative I - Bilingual, you will serve as a critical link between the Department and the families it serves. This position is designed for critical thinkers who enjoy problem-solving and interacting with customers. You will handle a variety of customer support requests through telephone, in-person, chat, or email channels.
Your day will involve initiating and responding to complex requests, coordinating with internal and external partners, and researching case issues to find resolutions. You will gather and analyze case data to determine the next steps, interview customers, and interact with other states, employers, and business partners. Success in this role requires making informed decisions based on case information and provided documentation.
This position is unique in that it requires all duties to be performed effectively in both English and Spanish. The role is based in Orlando with a standard workday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, though flexibility may be required outside regular hours. After completing required training and reaching an acceptable level of proficiency, this role is eligible for telework.
Candidates who meet the minimum job requirements may be required to take a skills verification test or an online skills assessment before being considered for an interview. All candidates will undergo a National Level-2 criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting. Additionally, male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962, must be registered with the Selective Services System (SSS) before their 26th birthday to be eligible for hire.
