Customer Service Rep II (Remote and Temporary)

About the Role

This position serves as a vital frontline resource for the CDC Public Response program, acting as the primary point of contact for the general public, clinicians, and government officials. The core mission is to deliver empathetic, accurate, and timely assistance regarding vaccine inquiries, appointment scheduling, and kit distribution. You will navigate a dynamic environment where, while most interactions are routine, you must be prepared to deviate from standard scripts to address unique customer needs with professionalism and care.

As a remote team member, you will utilize advanced CRM systems and databases to track inquiries, document interactions, and ensure compliance with strict CDC and Maximus performance standards, including confidentiality and privacy protocols. The role demands a high degree of flexibility, requiring you to adapt to alternate schedules, holidays, and weekends to meet operational demands. You will also play an active role in continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements that benefit the program, the agency, and the public.

Hiring & Application Process

Candidates must successfully complete a written assessment as part of the selection process. All selected personnel are required to sign a Statement of Understanding and Non-Disclosure and will undergo periodic program update training as the CDC program evolves.

Technical Requirements: This is a fully remote position requiring candidates to provide their own personal device and meet specific home office standards. Applicants must have a high-speed internet connection (25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload) via a Category 5 or 6 ethernet cable, a private and secure work area, and a compatible computer (Windows 10/11 or Mac OS). A smartphone and webcam are also mandatory for system login and training purposes.
