About the Role
This part-time position is dedicated to maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment across the FedEx Freight facility. The role is essential for ensuring that physical structures, yard areas, and docks remain attractive and functional for both employees and customers. You will be the first line of defense in upholding the company's standards for cleanliness and order.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks. Indoors, you will vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust office areas, empty trash, and clean restrooms. You will also handle routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and air conditioner filters. Outdoors, you will perform general yard work, including cutting grass, maintaining gardens, and keeping parking areas free of debris. Additionally, you may be called upon to perform minor building repairs and painting as needed.
Working Conditions
This role requires physical stamina and adaptability. You will be expected to stand or walk for eight hours and perform light lifting consistently. The work environment exposes you to various conditions, including hot and cold soapy water, chemicals, dust, and tobacco waste. Hours may vary to meet operational needs, and you must be able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively as part of a team.
