Custodian Part Time

About the Role

As a Part-Time Custodian, you will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role is essential to ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and visitors, adhering to the established standards and procedures of C&W Services.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a variety of custodial duties performed with attention to detail and a pride in delivering excellent service. You will sweep, mop, and wash floors and surfaces, utilizing both light and heavy commercial equipment such as buffers and shampoo machines. Your responsibilities include vacuuming rugs, dusting furniture and fixtures, and washing glass on doors and windows.

You will also be responsible for maintaining restrooms by cleaning surfaces, restocking supplies, and emptying waste baskets. Daily trash collection and disposal are key parts of the role, as is monitoring for defects like clogged urinals or outages and reporting them to supervisors. Depending on the season and location, you may also be directed to shovel snow from steps and walkways.
