About the Role
COCM is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain the overall cleanliness and order of a student apartment community located on the campus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Facilities, this role is vital to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for students and staff.
The ideal candidate will serve as the face of the Facilities team, projecting a customer-focused and professional image through all interactions with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining common areas, office spaces, and student rooms, with a specific focus on deep cleaning and preparation during the summer move-in season. The Custodian will work collaboratively with the broader Facilities Staff to uphold high standards across multiple apartment complexes, including Brottier Hall and St. Martin Hall.
Work Environment
This is a mid-to-high paced role with a moderate noise level. The position involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must be comfortable using various cleaning equipment and following safety procedures regarding chemicals and supplies.
