About the Role
This position serves as a custodian within the school district, dedicated to maintaining a clean, orderly, and secure environment for students and staff. The role is essential to the daily operations of the school, ensuring that buildings, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds are kept in optimal condition.
The custodian works a part-time schedule of 4 hours per day for 246 days during the school year. This contract includes health benefits. The position reports directly to the School Principal or their designee.

- check_circleDisinfect drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals to maintain sanitary conditions

- check_circleOrder supplies according to established guidelines and procedures for custodial operations
- check_circlePick up and dispose of trash, rake debris, and clean walkways and entrances around school grounds
- check_circleAssemble, move, and arrange furniture and equipment to prepare rooms for special events or meetings
- check_circleClean classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, cafeterias, and gymnasiums according to established standards
- check_circleReport safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate authorities and recommend maintenance repairs
- check_circleOperate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet shampooers, and high-pressure sprayers
- check_circleLock and unlock doors and gates while maintaining building security and operating alarm systems
- check_circleShovel, plow, and sand walkways and steps during winter weather conditions as directed
