About the Role

As a CT Technologist at Avera McKennan Hospital, you will perform CT examinations that contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care. This is a weekend-night position where you will work alongside other healthcare professionals passionate about creating a positive impact.

In this role, you will prepare patients and adjust equipment for imaging, positioning and instructing them regarding procedures. You will identify and screen patients for diet preparation and allergies to contrast materials, consulting with supervisors, radiologists, and physicians as needed. Your work involves producing high-quality images via digital imaging or hard CR cassettes for radiologist interpretation while maintaining strict adherence to radiation protection principles.

Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in the department's growth by assisting in the clinical training of staff technologists and radiology clinical students. You will also participate in quality assessment and improvement plans, monitor inventory, and report equipment malfunctions to ensure a productive and safe environment.
