About the Role
This position serves as a vital clinical mentor for junior staff and students while assessing patients and safely performing routine CT procedures. You will operate imaging equipment according to strict protocols, including IV placement, and review images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards before transmission. Your role involves explaining procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and adapting your communication style to respect the privacy and specific needs of diverse patient populations.
Beyond technical execution, you will verify physician orders, utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care, and assist in departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance. You will also support attending physicians during interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance. This role requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining a calm and efficient demeanor under pressure.
