The Community Schools Athletic and Enrichment Coordinator serves as a strategic leader under the Director of Community Schools, dedicated to cultivating a vibrant ecosystem of K-8 intramural and interscholastic athletics alongside enriching out-of-school-time programs. This position is pivotal in bridging the gap between school resources and community needs, ensuring that every student has access to high-quality athletic and developmental opportunities.
The role extends beyond simple coordination; it involves the full lifecycle of program management—from developing and promoting initiatives like sports camps and summer programming to fostering a culture of sportsmanship among student-athletes and their families. The Coordinator acts as a vital liaison, representing the district at Northwest League meetings and building sustainable partnerships with community stakeholders to enhance program offerings.
Success in this role requires a dynamic blend of administrative oversight and on-the-ground engagement. You will spend your time managing program budgets, overseeing staff recruitment and development, and ensuring fiscal responsibility across all initiatives. A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to collaboration, working with school personnel to align programs with district goals and community interests.
You will also be the face of the program at events, monitoring athletic grounds, facilitating meetings, and enforcing eligibility requirements. Whether advocating for member schools or executing marketing strategies across digital and print platforms, your work ensures that the district's athletic and enrichment offerings remain responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
