This position utilizes artistic methods—including art, music, dance/movement, and drama—to support mental health recovery and enhance the emotional well-being of the inpatient population. The role is designed to foster healing through creative expression, integrating therapeutic interventions into the broader clinical care plan.
You will design and implement group therapy sessions tailored to diverse patient needs and mental health conditions. Working closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will assess patient progress, modify therapeutic approaches based on ongoing evaluations, and contribute to comprehensive treatment planning. The role emphasizes a client-centered approach, utilizing evidence-based practices and the therapeutic use of self to guide clinical decisions.
Beyond direct patient care, you will facilitate the exhibition of patient work, mentor students and interns, and participate in orienting new department staff. The position requires flexibility to adapt schedules to meet shifting inpatient needs while maintaining the integrity of core programming.
