About the Role
The Corporate Counsel serves as a strategic partner to the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, dedicated to protecting the HomeVestors brand and ensuring a best-in-class experience for our independently owned franchises and their customers. This role sits at the intersection of legal expertise and business operations, requiring an attorney with strong business savvy who can simultaneously support day-to-day legal functions while engaging with ownership, franchisees, vendors, and consumers.\n You will work closely with our compliance, sales, accounting, IT, and operations teams, as well as external advertising vendors and franchisees. The position involves managing the full lifecycle of franchise agreements, from renewals to terminations, and providing routine guidance on contractual obligations and systems standards. A key component of this role is education; you will create and present training for franchisees and development agents, covering new franchise classes, webinars, and conventions. Additionally, you will oversee the review and approval of advertising copy at both national and franchise levels, ensuring brand consistency and compliance.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week at our North Dallas office. Occasional travel to company events may be required to support franchisee training and engagement.
