About the Role
Core Systems Technicians serve as the operational backbone of daily banking processing, ensuring the smooth execution of critical financial workflows via the Fiserv DNA Core platform. This hands-on position is dedicated to maintaining data accuracy, verifying successful job completion, and providing immediate troubleshooting support to keep core banking and ancillary systems running without interruption.
In this role, you will take ownership of incoming work and requests, proactively identifying issues before they impact business operations. You will collaborate with peers and vendors to resolve system performance challenges, manage automated file transfers, and maintain rate schedules in coordination with Treasury. The position requires a blend of technical precision and customer support skills, as you will assist end users with issues while escalating complex matters as necessary.
A key aspect of this role is the commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. You will contribute to operational and technical documentation to standardize processes and ensure continuity of support. Additionally, you will leverage AI tools to enhance problem analysis and documentation quality, driving day-to-day operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMonitor daily core processing jobs via the Fiserv DNA Core platform to ensure smooth banking operations
- check_circleConfirm daily processing tasks are completed successfully using the automated job scheduler
- check_circleUpdate Authorization Roles within the Core Banking system as requested by department leaders
- check_circleMaintain rate schedules to ensure accurate input of Treasury rate changes linked to deposit or loan products
- check_circleRead, maintain, and contribute to operational and technical documentation to support knowledge sharing
- check_circleLeverage AI tools to enhance problem analysis, documentation quality, and day-to-day operational effectiveness
- check_circleAutomate file transfers, pipelines, and DNA job runs upon request from business partners and management
- check_circleIdentify and resolve minor processing or performance issues and submit vendor tickets when necessary
- check_circleComplete daily, weekly, and monthly checklist items to ensure deliverable deadlines are met
- check_circleProvide end-user support for core banking and ancillary system issues, escalating complex problems as needed
- check_circleSupport regular monthly patching activities and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedIntermediate knowledge of transaction and database platforms, JCL, SQL, DB2, AIX, and Windows
- verifiedStrong IT help desk and customer support skills
- verifiedCore Banking / Fiserv DNA system administration experience preferred
- verifiedExperience with OpCon or similar enterprise automation and scheduling tools
- verifiedMust be available to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and participate in an on‑call rotation
