This position serves as a vital support pillar in our kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service from preparation to plating. You will work closely with the chef and servers to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and timeliness. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in contributing to a cohesive team effort.
Your day begins by assisting with stocking and setting up kitchen stations, ensuring everything is ready for service. You will prepare a variety of dishes, including cleaning and cutting ingredients, cooking main courses, desserts, and appetizers, all while adhering to the chef's guidance. A key part of your responsibility involves plating prepared foods with precision and collaborating with servers to guarantee that every order is completed accurately and on time.
Beyond food preparation, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. This includes washing and cleaning kitchen utensils, adhering to food safety standards and regulations, and properly storing equipment at the end of shifts. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of the day and may need to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
Candidates with at least one year of cooking experience are preferred. We look for individuals with excellent kitchen administration knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to listen actively.
