The Cook 1 is an entry-level culinary position designed to support the kitchen team under the guidance of the Sous Chef. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of food preparation and presentation established by the Executive Chef. The position focuses on the core aspects of the culinary process, including ingredient preparation, cooking, tasting, and sanitation, ensuring that every dish served meets quality expectations.
This is a full-time position with an hourly pay rate of $15.00. The schedule is structured to cover evening and weekend shifts:

As part of the kitchen team, you will work within a safe, sanitary, and organized environment. The role emphasizes adherence to Choctaw Nation food safety guidelines, ensuring that all food storage, labeling, and serving temperatures meet strict safety protocols. The team values waste reduction through proper production levels and portion control, fostering a culture of efficiency and quality.
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to speak, read, and write English. A Food Safety Certification is required. Additionally, applicants should possess at least six months of culinary experience or an equivalent combination of culinary education and hands-on experience.
