WSP is initiating a search for a Construction Quality Manager to join our New York, New York office. In this role, you will serve as a critical guardian of project integrity, ensuring that all construction activities align with rigorous standards and contractual obligations.
You will oversee overall construction quality compliance across a variety of delivery methods, including traditional design-bid-build and design-build projects. Your mission is to develop and implement project-specific Quality Management Manuals that document conformity with contract plans, specifications, and applicable laws. From the design phase through construction and deployment, you will ensure quality plans are not only prepared and approved but actively implemented and documented.
Your day-to-day involves auditing ongoing contracts to measure quality health through specific metrics, collaborating with project teams to develop new quality control processes, and evaluating contractor procedures for inspection, testing, and record-keeping. You will conduct regular field visits and compliance audits to verify that quality activities align with the quality plan and all contractual obligations. When deficiencies are observed, you will manage their resolution, document non-conformances through detailed reports, and oversee factory and field testing. Additionally, you will prepare status reports to monitor progress and ensure tasks are completed within assigned durations.
