This Construction Inspector position is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow within the geotechnical engineering and inspections field. You will serve as the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring that construction phases adhere to strict engineering standards and specifications.
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive testing and inspection of critical components, including foundations, earthwork, soil compaction, concrete, and reinforcing steel. Your day-to-day activities will involve utilizing specialized equipment such as the Nuclear Density Gauge for soil testing and Slump Cones for concrete analysis. You will be responsible for transporting sample materials to the laboratory, preparing detailed field data, and drafting technical reports.
Effective communication is key; you will regularly relay inspection findings and testing results to Project Managers and Subcontractors. This role requires a willingness to travel to various construction sites and perform physically active work outdoors in varying field conditions. It is an ideal position for recent graduates with a related degree or those with hands-on construction experience looking to transition into a field-based engineering career.
