This is an evergreen requisition for Construction Assistants / Operators, building a pipeline of skilled candidates for upcoming and future projects. Whether you are entry-level, mid-career, or senior, this position plays a critical role in ensuring materials, equipment, and crews are safely and efficiently transported and supported on job sites.
In this role, you will support construction operations through a combination of hands-on fieldwork, equipment operation, and commercial driving. Responsibilities vary based on experience and skill level, ranging from general labor and site preparation to operating construction equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting multiple weeks at a time followed by one week off. Daily per diem and hotel accommodations are provided during travel. The role typically runs Monday through Saturday, between 45-60 hours, with overtime rules applying. You will be primarily working outdoors in various weather conditions, navigating uneven terrain, confined spaces, and areas with moving machinery and heavy equipment.

Previous experience as a construction assistant, equipment operator, or laborer. Familiarity with construction equipment and tools. Certification in OSHA safety standards or similar safety training. Ability to operate additional construction machinery or equipment. Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle and equipment maintenance. Experience operating equipment such as backhoe, trencher, mini-excavator, auger, and forklift. Experience in the corrosion control industry.
