Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager to support a critical contract with the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The NNSA operates multiple offices and facilities across the United States, all dedicated to vital aspects of nuclear security, including stockpile management, nonproliferation, and nuclear security initiatives.
This position is based onsite at the NNSA headquarters in Washington, D.C. The role serves as a cornerstone for maintaining the integrity and resilience of the agency's technical infrastructure. As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing Configuration Management (CM) practices across the full system lifecycle, from initial requirements through system retirement. Your work will ensure that complex enterprise environments remain compliant, traceable, and resilient against operational disruptions.
In this capacity, you will chair Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, overseeing the review, approval, and tracking of all changes to ensure system stability. You will also manage software release processes, including version control, packaging, and deployment coordination, while establishing and maintaining configuration baselines. The role requires a deep understanding of Continuity of Operations (COOP) concepts to support system resilience in high-stakes environments.
Candidates must possess a Top Secret Clearance to participate in this mission-critical work. The position offers a competitive salary range of $155,000 to $165,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and holidays.
