This position serves as a Computer Science Teacher dedicated to fostering collaborative learning environments where students can explore the fundamentals of coding and robotics. Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, the role focuses on facilitating engaging sessions that cater to a diverse student body with varying academic profiles and skill levels.
The day-to-day experience involves guiding students through the development of critical computer science skills using a variety of tools, including Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python. A key component of the role is instructing students on how to control physical robots, such as Ozobots, Spheros, and drones, bridging the gap between abstract code and tangible results. The teacher is expected to model appropriate academic and social behaviors while maintaining consistent communication with leadership to ensure alignment with educational goals.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to demonstrate responsibility, discretion, and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting.
