About the Role
Grace Wilday Junior High School is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This position goes beyond traditional instruction, serving as a catalyst for a vibrant learning culture where STEM, creativity, and innovation thrive. The role is designed to nurture student leadership in technology while fostering cross-curricular connections that prepare students for future career pathways.
Day in the Life
As a key member of the faculty, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to develop engaging lessons that integrate design thinking and technology standards. Your day will involve a blend of direct classroom instruction, coaching, co-teaching, and modeling to support both students and staff. You will facilitate student learning through hands-on challenges, guide student leadership teams, and provide technical support to help colleagues effectively infuse technology into their own classrooms. Success in this role requires a people-first approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to students at all levels of understanding.
