About the Role

The Community Service Technician is the backbone of our property's physical condition and appearance. Reporting to the Community Manager and Community Service Supervisor, you will maintain the site and perform day-to-day duties tailored to your skills, experience, and career goals. Depending on the specific community assignment, you may also be required to step into the duties of the Community Service Supervisor.

In this role, you will provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to residents, ensuring high-quality customer satisfaction by following up on all service requests. Your day-to-day life involves performing maintenance on make-ready units, handling service requests and repairs, installing major appliances, and maintaining common areas, grounds, and building systems. You will inspect these areas, correct deficiencies, and report any issues to supervisors.

This position requires a pleasant demeanor and a genuine enjoyment of the work. You will be expected to exhibit behavior consistent with our Vision, Mission, and Core Values, making the working environment enjoyable for both yourself and others. The role involves regular exposure to the outdoor environment, moderate noise levels from power tools, and potential hazards that are managed through proper safety training, lifting techniques, and safety equipment.

Hiring Process & Expectations

Candidates must complete in-house training within the first 90 days of employment. The role requires flexibility, including regular overtime and on-call schedules. While on-call, you must be able to respond to calls within 15 minutes and be on the premises of the assigned apartment community within 30 minutes to complete resident or management requests.
