The Childhood Cancer Society is dedicated to raising money and awareness for families battling childhood cancer. Our work is driven by the spirit of adventure and hope, aiming to uplift our global outreach initiatives through innovative campaigns and deep community collaboration.
As a Communications Team Intern, you will dive into the heart of the communications industry, collaborating with seasoned professionals in Public Relations and Talent Management. This is a transformative 4-month journey where you will engage directly with the Communications Director of the Childhood Cancer Society.
You will play a pivotal role in the Adventure Ted Coin project, a campaign focused on developing a crypto token to scale our mission. Following its projected launch in September 2025 (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), the coin will be integrated into the Adventure Ted Challenge and promoted by Brand Ambassadors.
Your day-to-day will involve leading national campaigns that radiate positivity. You will work closely with a diversified team, creators, influencers, and supporters to manage the narrative of Adventure Ted, our superhero spokes-bear. This includes contributing to three core content pillars:
This role offers real-world experience through consistent collaboration with Childhood Cancer Society leadership and a broader member network. You will participate in mandatory Zoom brainstorming and strategy sessions twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM EST). These sessions open doors to deep professional expertise while you help craft impactful post-language, identify prospective collaborations, and drive the "Share to Care" campaign to bolster engagement with our content.
