About the Team

RMF Engineering, Inc. is a national engineering firm specializing in healthcare, higher education, district energy, and mission critical facilities. Our commissioning team works directly with owners, contractors, and design teams to ensure complex building systems are reliable, efficient, and operate as intended.

About the Role

The Commissioning Technician/Engineer supports commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems on both new construction and existing building projects. This role is designed for a technically curious, organized, and field-oriented professional who is comfortable collaborating with contractors, facility staff, and engineers in active construction and operating environments.

A typical work week involves a hybrid split of 50% time in the office and 50% time on client sites, with very limited overnight travel. You will serve as a key liaison, overseeing, investigating, challenging, and testing MEP projects to ensure they meet rigorous performance standards.

Hiring Process

We are committed to finding the right fit for our team. Candidates will be evaluated based on their technical curiosity, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in dynamic field environments. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience with MEP systems and commissioning standards.

Equal Opportunity

We are an equal opportunity employer and take pride in the diversity and dedication of our staff. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
