From 50 to 8,000 horsepower, gas, electric, or dual drive, SEC is capable of designing and fabricating equipment to meet each customer's specific operating requirements. The company's capabilities extend beyond traditional manufacturing to include turnkey engineering services, truck-based service technicians, manufacturer parts, and power generation equipment. SEC also provides production, processing, and treating equipment, supported by an expansive network of warehouses servicing locations across the United States.
This position serves as a critical technical resource for commissioning and maintaining natural gas compressor packages. You will be responsible for the end-to-end commissioning of equipment, including drive coupling alignments, mechanical clearance checks, performance evaluation, tuning, and instrumentation calibration. The role requires a deep working knowledge of natural gas compressor packages and installation procedures to supervise field installations and overhauls.
In this capacity, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair natural gas engines, compressors, generators, and other power-driven equipment. You will lead root cause investigations for equipment failures and perform baseline vibration and emissions analysis. The role demands a balance of independent technical problem-solving and strong customer management skills to address inquiries and complaints from both internal and external stakeholders. You will also play a key role in mentoring new employees and technicians while ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
This role involves assignments at customer sites, which may include industrial and manufacturing settings. You should expect exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions, extreme temperatures, loud machinery, and various materials and chemicals. Some assignments may involve known concentration levels of H2S. The work environment requires frequent driving, walking, and standing, as well as the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required for all field operations.
Candidates must be willing to travel for extended periods, potentially up to 6 weeks at a time, and drive a company truck from their home base to customer locations throughout the US.
