We are actively looking for an Entry-Level Coastal Engineer to join our Baltimore office. In this role, you will apply coastal models to study waves, currents, and sediment transport, and assist with coastal engineering design including living shorelines, shoreline stabilization, and flood resiliency projects. You will help design deep draft navigation channels and apply computer models to simulate floating vessels and structures to support marine terminal design efforts.
Day-to-day, you will prepare calculations for wind waves, scour protection, and wave forces, complete data and engineering analyses, and perform GIS mapping. The role involves field work, data collection, and navigating difficult terrain as needed. You will also implement scientific and regulatory tasks to ensure compliance with environmental laws and policies, including NEPA, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Water Act. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse project types ranging from wetland restoration and dredging to waterfront structures and coastal protection initiatives.
