About the Role
This is an outstanding long-term contract opportunity for a Cloud Security Engineer to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. You will join a team operating in a large, regulated enterprise environment where you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact. Your work will involve reviewing and analyzing multi-faceted security challenges, requiring an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented situations. You will contribute to resolving complex scenarios by applying a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. The role demands a strategic collaboration with client personnel to translate ambiguity into explicit, machine-enforceable requirements while maintaining a strong emphasis on traceability and defensibility.
Location & Contract Details
This is a 12-month contract position with a hybrid work model. The role is based in Irving, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Chandler, AZ.

Requirements
- verified5+ years Cloud Security experience
- verified5+ years Cloud technology experience
- verified3+ years Risk and Control experience
- verified3-5 years Cloud security posture management experience
- verified2-4 years Python scripting experience
- verifiedHands on experience with security configuration baselines or hardening standards
- verifiedStrong working knowledge of Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
- verifiedExperience with Policy as code or guardrail frameworks
- verifiedExperience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
- verifiedExperience mapping security controls to industry standards (CIS, NIST, ISO)
- verifiedExperience operating in large, regulated enterprise environments
Nice to Have
Experience with industry standards and authoritative sources (NIST, CSA, CIS benchmark), Azure and Google Cloud, Security Baseline, experience with a baseline as code program, familiarity with cloud organization level controls (management groups, folders, org policies), experience with CI/CD integration of security controls, exposure to risk management, audit response, or regulatory examinations, and background in automating governance processes (exception workflows, control validation, reporting).
